Hello! I’m Quiet Storm,

 

I have conquered many challenges and continue to fight in this boxing ring of life for myself, those I care about, the community and the Invisibles. 

​

I am a single parent, a poet, an author, a giver, an entrepreneur and a student. I have worked in higher education for over 15 years. I am passionate about the quality of education on all levels and assisting others in obtaining an education, whether it is through a traditional college or trade schools. 

 

I have experience in the non-profit realm, including a domestic violence shelter. Due to my own experiences dealing with extraordinary circumstances as a single parent, having numerous chronic health conditions and fighting through traumatic events,  it is a mission to provide knowledge, share experiences, help empower others, and play a small role in prevention and the eradication of  a number of social issues, that plague our world.

I enjoy music, dance, creating gift baskets, jewelry making, dance, anything artistic; reading, writing, conducting research, traveling, volunteering, building relationships and connecting other people and small businesses, learning new things, sharing experiences and knowledge, training and conducting workshops, motivating others, coordinating artistic and empowerment events and leading where I am.

Though I have faced many trials, some of which continue, I can still smile, laugh, and love.  I remain hopeful, humble, tenacious, strong and resilient!
