After the initial reports from China, no one was truly prepared.
It was unsettling to say the least. As on country after another and one city after another, became touched by COVID -19. Some took the situation more seriously than others. For some, priorities were skewed. The bottom like is no one is exempt. No one is untouched.
“Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.
The "leader" of this country and others, need to stop consistently blaming other people; former presidents, the news, other countries and every imaginary friend out there and focus on what needs to be done that will assist this country and the world, right now. We are all connected. I had no doubt when the news came out of China about the virus that it was only a matter of time before it reached across the world.
What affects one affects the other. It is not "those people or you people' or "that country". There have been and continues to be things that are done and decisions made, right here that affect other people in other countries. All the time. Every day. the US is accountable for those things. What are the solutions? Get on that. There is enough accountability to go around, from the lowest position to the highest and even from regular folks and decisions that are made in daily life, socially, politically etc.
Work on prevention, work on solutions, together; no matter the challenge. Keep it up, there won't be anyone around to listen to the BS from any side, no one to fight with or fight over. There will be no one to "rule" over, anyway. There damn sure won't be any resources for anyone that is still hanging on.
